Promoting Good Oral Health To Prevent Gum Infection

Oral health is a crucial aspect of maintaining general health making it necessary to be observe diligently by every individual. Gum disease are the most commonly dental problem that can be experience when oral health is not given an importance and the most painful oral manifestations, it affects both the teeth and the gums. Symptoms of gum disease or infection may include inflammation of the gums, bleeding and swelling , bad breath, sensitivity and gum recession.
Promoting good oral health can prevent gum infection for it controls the bacteria to live inside the mouth. Bacteria is the primary cause of gum infection. Brushing the teeth should involve the proper technique which is having it in a circular motion, working it from one side of the mouth to another, often neglected areas should be paid much attention such as the back of the teeth and the tongue and soft- bristled toothbrush is recommended to avoid toothbrush abrasion. It is also recommended to floss regularly especially after meals and before brushing, food particles stuck in between the teeth can be remove which brushing won’t be enough to do remove it. Another effective preventive measure to prevent bacteria is to make salt and warm water as a mouth rinse.
